Phase 1 of the Debra Regan Community Garden is complete! The Great Spring Blitz saw our volunteer crew knock out stump grinding and make major progress on brush clearing. Special thanks to Sean, Sahara, Izzy, Rochelle, Shaday, Kai, Isabella, Sue, Erik, and Owen. Phase 2 is now underway!
Phase 1 of the Debra Regan Community Garden — The Great Spring Blitz — is complete!
On Saturday, March 14th, a small but determined crew came together at 5411 Tuckaseegee Rd to tackle the biggest workday of the season. Despite a modest turnout, every volunteer gave it their all and we made tremendous progress.
What We Accomplished
- Stump Grinding: All remaining stumps at the back of the lot have been pulverized — done!
- Brush & Perimeter: Major progress on clearing brush, pulling rocks, and marking the fence line.

What’s Next: Phase 2
The brush & perimeter work and soil preparation continue into Phase 2: The Infrastructure Scavenger Hunt. We still need volunteers to help with clearing, soil prep, and sourcing materials for fencing, irrigation, and pathways.
